What: Opera Look-In: Carmen

The 5th grade class has been offered an opportunity to visit the Kennedy Center on October 1st to view a performance/demonstration called “Opera Look-In: Carmen.” At this hour long look-in, students will hear amazing performances, see demonstrations of behind the scenes technology, lighting, and stage combat, and get a glimpse into the many careers available in stage performance. The program is aimed for a young audience and should be a real treat!
Since this is a concert event we ask for students to dress appropriately (try not to wear jeans or sneakers). We will be stopping for a fast food lunch on the way back to school. Please bring your own money to purchase lunch or bring a bag lunch. We will depart BES at approximately 10:00am and return at approximately 3:00pm. The concert starts at 12:00pm.
Cost of the trip is $20.00. This price covers the cost of the concert ticket and buses. Permission slips were sent home on Friday,September 11th. You may also download a copy here:
